Electrical Engineer / Technologist

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Electrical Engineer or Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed production drawings and bills of materials for custom control panels and solutions. This hands-on role requires a strong commitment to quality, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work closely with both customers and our production team to deliver projects on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed production and assembly drawings for custom control panels, switchgears and electrical solutions using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare comprehensive bills of materials for all custom projects.
  • Work closely with the production team, providing technical support and oversight.
  • Supervise production, ensuring team members have the necessary tools, materials, and instructions to complete builds efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist in the testing of final assembled equipment to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to develop technical quotes and solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the production lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of electrical control systems, panel layout, and industrial automation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work hard in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in custom control panel manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with applicable electrical standards and codes (e.g., CSA, UL).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $62,400.00 per year
